Senior Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted technical consultant and lead technical strategist in intricate security engagements.

• Collaborate closely with skilled Sales Executives to guide security discussions from the initial discovery phase through solution design, RFP defense, and customer transition.

• Impact architectural decisions, question outdated security practices, and connect technical selections to quantifiable risk mitigation and business results.

• Assist clients in modernizing their security operations, utilizing Microsoft Defender and Sentinel as foundational tools.

• Evaluate customer security posture, needs, and technical specifications.

• Provide engaging presentations and live demonstrations of Ontinue’s MXDR services.

• Facilitate technical workshops and architecture meetings.

• Take ownership of and manage RFP responses, including client-facing RFP presentations.

• Encourage clients to reconsider outdated or disjointed security strategies with contemporary, best-practice solutions.

• Ensure a seamless transition of new customers to account management and service delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong technical expertise in cybersecurity, including proficiency in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, and the overall Microsoft E5 Security suite.

• Comprehensive understanding of identity security, endpoint security, and both cloud and network security.

• Experience in leading customer-facing technical discussions and workshops.

• Familiarity with the Austrian and DACH SOC environment.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities in German (native) and English.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with sales, product, and delivery teams.

• Willingness to travel for client engagements and industry events.

• Native German speaker, fluent in English (both written and verbal).

• Demonstrated experience in a Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing technical position in IT security.

• Nice-to-have: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent hands-on experience.
