This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Act as the main technical resource for the sales team throughout the entire sales process, from initial discovery to final close.
• Provide engaging product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proofs of concept that are customized to meet the needs of prospects and customers.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to assess opportunities, define technical requirements, and develop solution strategies.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of each prospect's accessibility goals, use cases, technical environments, and key stakeholders involved.
• Address RFPs/RFIs and security/technical questionnaires with precise and persuasive responses.
• Lead technical evaluations and pilot implementations, partnering with prospects to validate Deque solutions against their needs.
• Clearly communicate the value of Deque's products and solutions as prospects enhance and develop their accessibility programs.
• Work in conjunction with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success to convey market and prospect insights and ensure a seamless transition from sales to onboarding.
• Mentor junior sales engineers and assist in refining demo environments, technical sales materials, and presales strategies.
• Remain updated on accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, Section 508) and the competitive landscape to enhance positioning.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, solutions engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role, including at least 3 years in a sales engineering or presales function.
• Comprehensive understanding of UI (web and mobile) and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
• Solid grasp of CI/CD pipeline components and SaaS architectures.
• Experience with UI test automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its components.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of adjusting technical messaging for both technical and executive audiences.
• Proven success in managing technical sales cycles and facilitating deal closures alongside a sales team.
• In-depth understanding of the accessibility software sector and customer requirements.
• Competence in managing multiple concurrent sales opportunities with effective prioritization.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer meetings, conferences, and events.
• Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
