This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Serve as the primary system administrator for CaptivateIQ, overseeing end-to-end management, including configuration, data integrity, calculation logic, and platform governance.
• Ensure the maintenance of commission plan structures, rules, tiers, accelerators, and crediting logic within CaptivateIQ.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in commission calculations using source data from Salesforce, HRIS, and billing systems.
• Assess CaptivateIQ change requests from Sales, Sales Operations, HR, and Finance, and propose implementation strategies.
• Convert new and modified compensation plans into precise CaptivateIQ builds in collaboration with FP&A and Sales Compensation leadership.
• Oversee data integrations and imports between CaptivateIQ and Salesforce, HRIS, and billing/ERP systems.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards for commission audits, payout reconciliation, and visibility for leadership.
• Manage the commission payout calendar and the monthly/quarterly closing process, ensuring timely and accurate statements.
• Document configurations, workflows, and change history to maintain auditability.
• Assist with SOX controls and fulfill audit requests related to commission calculations and system access.
• Provide training and support to sales, finance, and HR stakeholders on commission statements and CaptivateIQ tools.
• Monitor updates to CaptivateIQ and suggest enhancements to improve accuracy, scalability, and user experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales compensation, commissions administration, or a related finance/RevOps role.
• Extensive hands-on experience with CaptivateIQ is essential, encompassing plan building, formula and logic configuration, data connections, and administrative troubleshooting.
• Direct experience with CaptivateIQ is mandatory; candidates lacking this will not be considered.
• Proven experience as a system owner or lead administrator for a commissions or incentive compensation platform.
• Strong comprehension of quotas, accelerators, tiers, SPIFFs, draws, clawbacks, and multi-component plans.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel with the capability to reconcile large, imperfect datasets across various systems.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM as a source for commission data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
• Strong communication abilities to convey complex calculation logic to non-technical stakeholders.
• Capacity to work independently and take ownership as the internal expert and decision-maker for CaptivateIQ.
• CaptivateIQ certification or formal administrative training is preferred.
• Experience in supporting compensation plans within a private equity-backed or multi-business-unit software company is preferred.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition for commission expensing is preferred.
• Previous experience working directly with FP&A on plan design or compensation modeling is preferred.
• AI fluency suitable for the role, including responsible use of approved AI tools, sound judgment, and adherence to AI governance and security standards.
