This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Develop and oversee strategic partnerships with key influencer clients across various regions (such as architects, engineers, contractors, OEMs, dealers, and channel partners) to enhance long-term sales influence.
• Establish and implement the influencer strategy, focusing on existing priority firms while discovering and nurturing new firms and individuals to broaden influence.
• Function as the technical subject matter expert, offering guidance on codes, standards, and solutions to consulting engineers, end users, and sales teams.
• Recognize customer needs and market opportunities by utilizing customer insights, market trends, and competitor analysis to drive demand.
• Oversee opportunity management and rigor, ensuring that sales opportunities are identified, documented, tracked in Salesforce, and assigned to the relevant sales owners.
• Develop and maintain key influencer account strategies, evaluating customer perception, team credibility, and the overall effectiveness of influence initiatives.
• Serve as an industry thought leader and customer advocate by sharing market insights internally, representing the company externally, and aligning influence activities with business objectives (sales plans, margins, market share).
• A university or college degree in engineering, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• This role may necessitate licensing to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.
• A substantial level of relevant work experience is essential. Experience in technical sales, application engineering, or project management is required.
• Preferably 4+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or project management.
• Responsible for establishing relationships with Consulting Engineers in the Upstate New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania markets.
• Clear communication with leadership, peers on the Northern Region SAE/UI Team, and local Power Generation Sales Representatives regarding key projects, relationships, and sales initiatives.
• Project and relationship management/tracking will be documented in Salesforce.
• Technical aptitude to quickly learn the products we are responsible for selling.
• Capability to deliver technical presentations to external customers and internal sales teams.
• This position can be based in NY, NJ, or PA.
