This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan, +1 more country.
• Design, develop, and sustain production-quality control-plane microservices, tailor-made Kubernetes operators, and reconciliation engines utilizing Rust and Go.
• Create functional and non-functional requirements, architectural specifications, system sequence diagrams, and schemas for gRPC/Protobuf and REST APIs.
• Develop integrations for contemporary network operating systems such as SONiC, NVUE, and Cumulus, as well as DPU hardware platforms.
• Implement service instrumentation with OpenTelemetry traces and metrics.
• Conduct systematic root-cause analysis across diverse distributed systems.
• Engage in review-gated pull-request workflows across Rust, Go, and SQL codebases.
• Maintain high test coverage through mock-driven testing practices.
• Contribute to open-source systems initiatives.
• Provide reliable on-call support and engage in cross-domain design and code reviews.
• Strong expertise in Rust, including the Tokio async runtime, Tonic, Axum, and sqlx.
• Advanced proficiency in Go.
• Expert-level SQL/PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Experience in gRPC/Protobuf contract design and schema evolution.
• Solid understanding of async concurrency models, lock-free patterns, distributed state management, and mock-driven testing.
• In-depth knowledge of BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, L3VNI, route targets, and route server design.
• Practical experience with SONiC, Cumulus Linux, and NVUE.
• Comprehensive understanding of NVIDIA DOCA, Host-Based Networking, BlueField DPU architectures, and the DPF operator model.
• Familiarity with InfiniBand, NVLink/NMX-M partitioning, and RoCEv2.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux netlink, network namespaces, routing tables, and DHCP/DNS services.
• Experience with CNI plugins like Calico and Cilium.
• Expertise in PXE/iPXE, UEFI, Secure Boot, measured boot, and TPM attestation.
• Proficiency in Redfish, IPMI, and BMC abstractions.
• Extensive knowledge of boot chains, systemd, initramfs, and BIOS configuration matrices.
• Hands-on experience with PKI, X.509, TLS, SPIFFE/SVID, Vault, KMS, Keycloak, OAuth2/JWT, and RBAC.
• Experience with KubeVirt/KVM.
• Experience in writing Kubernetes controllers/operators using kube-rs or controller-runtime.
• Dedication to test-driven design and mock interfaces.
• Proven experience in architectural specification and cross-functional design reviews.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of software engineering experience in cloud-native platforms, systems programming, networking, or infrastructure automation.
