This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan, +1 more country.
• Design, construct, and manage production-quality control-plane microservices, bespoke Kubernetes operators, and reconciliation engines utilizing Rust and Go.
• Create Functional Requirements, Non-Functional Requirements, architectural specifications, system sequence diagrams, as well as gRPC/Protobuf and REST API schemas.
• Build tailored integration modules for SONiC, NVUE, Cumulus, and DPU hardware platforms.
• Implement end-to-end instrumentation of services using OpenTelemetry traces and metrics.
• Conduct thorough root-cause analysis across diverse distributed systems.
• Engage in review-gated pull-request workflows involving Rust, Go, and SQL codebases.
• Maintain high test coverage through mock-driven testing methodologies.
• Lead the development of control planes for high-density, high-throughput AI training and inference infrastructure.
• Contribute to open-source initiatives.
• Strong expertise in Rust, including experience with Tokio async runtime, Tonic, Axum, and sqlx.
• Proficient in Go programming language.
• Advanced fluency in SQL / PostgreSQL.
• Experience in gRPC/Protobuf contract design and schema evolution.
• Solid understanding of async concurrency models, lock-free patterns, distributed state management, and mock-driven testing.
• In-depth knowledge of BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, L3VNI, route targets, and route server design.
• Practical experience with SONiC, Cumulus Linux, and NVUE.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NVIDIA DOCA, HBN, BlueField DPU architectures, and the DPF operator model, including BFB, DPUSet, and DPUNode CRDs.
• Familiarity with InfiniBand fabrics, NVLink / NMX-M partitioning, and RoCEv2.
• Advanced understanding of Linux netlink, network namespaces, routing tables, and DHCP/DNS service implementations.
• Knowledge of CNI plugins such as Calico and Cilium.
• Experience with OVS and DPDK is an advantage.
• Expertise in PXE/iPXE, UEFI, Secure Boot, measured boot, and TPM attestation.
• Proficient in Redfish, IPMI, and BMC abstractions across Dell, Lenovo, and NVIDIA reference hardware.
• Thorough understanding of boot chains, systemd, initramfs, and BIOS configuration matrices.
• Practical knowledge of PKI, X.509 certificates, TLS, SPIFFE/SVID, Vault, KMS, Keycloak, OAuth2/JWT, and RBAC.
• Experience with KubeVirt / KVM.
• Background in developing custom Kubernetes controllers/operators using kube-rs or controller-runtime with CRD-driven reconciliation patterns.
• Dedication to test-driven design and the creation of highly testable code with mock interfaces.
• Proven ability to author architectural specifications and engage in cross-functional design reviews.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience in cloud-native platforms, systems programming, networking, or infrastructure automation.
• Demonstrated involvement or maintainership in open-source systems projects is a plus.
