Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain scalable, robust RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails

• Engage in the complete development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring in production

• Contribute to the evolution of the core (monolith) as well as microservices projects and integrations with partners, including ERPs, payment gateways, and external platforms

• Maintain technical excellence through code reviews, adherence to Clean Code practices, SOLID principles, and team standards

• Oversee and enhance performance utilizing APM, resource tuning, and query analysis and enhancement

• Collaborate within multidisciplinary squads in an agile framework (Scrum/Kanban), working closely with engineering and product teams

• Transition between contexts that involve TypeScript and mobile teams and workflows, while keeping a system-level perspective

• Function independently, taking ownership of the development, testing, quality assurance, and sustainability

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated senior-level expertise in Ruby on Rails

• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs (design, documentation, and consumption)

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling

• Proficient with Git/GitHub

• Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks such as RSpec, including unit, integration, and black-box testing

• Experience with Cloud services (AWS)

• Ownership mindset emphasizing autonomy, proactivity, and a focus on delivering value with technical accountability

• Preferred: Experience with Microservices architecture and messaging systems (AWS SNS/SQS)

• Preferred: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

• Preferred: Familiarity with NoSQL databases and caching/queue systems such as Redis, DocumentDB, DynamoDB

• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Argo CD

• Spanish language skills are not required but are considered advantageous
