This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accurately and promptly process requests for release of information (ROI) from facilities.
• Validate medical record release requests and authorizations in accordance with company policies and legal standards.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper billing.
• Keep equipment in optimal working condition.
• Provide attentive, respectful, and responsive customer service.
• Proactively address and resolve client issues.
• Uphold a clean, professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.
• Stay informed about relevant state laws and fee structures.
• Operate within assigned responsibilities and take on additional tasks or coverage during busy periods.
• Follow client site policies and procedures, as well as comply with HIPAA, state and federal regulations, and labor laws.
• Protect confidential patient information and ensure efficient and accurate record releases.
• Understand information governance responsibilities and engage in compliance education and role-specific training.
• Report any unethical, fraudulent, or illegal behavior or activities.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of ROI fulfillment experience with Sharecare HDS or 3 years of external ROI experience is essential.
• Advanced understanding of various EMR platforms and types of ROI requests.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Eagerness to quickly learn new programs and processes.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Capability to maintain productivity, utilization, and quality performance metrics.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity for extended typing, writing, and handling documents.
• Visual acuity to read documents and operate a computer monitor.
• Clear speaking and hearing abilities.
• Adequate hand-eye coordination and sensory skills.
• Current annual HIPAA certification is required.
• Must adhere to HIPAA, state and federal regulations, as well as corporate integrity and security standards.
• Full-time employment.
• Evening shift schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM EDT.
