This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee risk management processes from start to finish during the commercial Inquiry-to-Order phase.
• Act as a subject matter expert for intricate contract negotiations, risk evaluations, and compliance matters.
• Direct the review, interpretation, and negotiation of contract stipulations specific to the U.S. Government.
• Guarantee adherence to FAR/DFARS, agency-specific provisions, flow-down requirements, and Cost Accounting Standards.
• Spearhead the negotiation and revision of MSAs, Teaming Agreements, MOUs, NDAs, and other intricate commercial contracts.
• Assess and mitigate legal, contractual, execution, and operational risks.
• Identify, formulate, and suggest strategies for risk mitigation.
• Evaluate and oversee compliance obligations related to CUI, CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, export controls, and government-mandated cybersecurity requirements.
• Own the Risk Assessment Management process.
• Establish and facilitate Risk Review sessions with stakeholders from Legal, Finance, Tax, EHS, and Security.
• Collaborate with Sales and Tendering teams on contract structures and commercial strategies.
• Convert contractual obligations into business strategies to enhance margins and minimize liabilities.
• Create standardized contract templates and commercial models.
• Enhance processes to decrease cycle times and costs.
• Conduct post-mortems on proposals to refine risk mitigation approaches.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders and ensure compliant transfer of signed contracts to Order-to-Remittance execution teams.
• Function as an individual contributor; this role does not include managing others.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 10–15+ years of experience in government contracts, contract management, commercial risk mitigation, and bid development and management.
• Professional background in U.S. Government contracting with the USG and/or a prominent defense contractor.
• Advanced understanding of FAR/DFARS, CMMC/NIST compliance, federal acquisition procedures, and government contracting prerequisites.
• Capability to efficiently research government contracting regulations.
• Profound knowledge of Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, and Cost Reimbursement contract types.
• Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce/SPEAK4GE.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in managing multiple contract negotiations concurrently across different product lines.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional inputs for timely review of contractual terms.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with Energy industry infrastructure, including Grid Automation, SCADA, HMI, or Electrical Power projects, along with related cyber/physical security requirements.
