This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Act as a senior point of resolution for complex, high-value billing issues escalated from internal billing teams, BPO partners, support/help desk, retention, and client-facing personnel.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis on denials, rejections, underpayments, payment-posting discrepancies, and configuration errors, aiming to identify the genuine upstream drivers instead of merely applying surface-level solutions.
• Recognize and document all impacted claims and accounts when a systemic issue is detected, and oversee corrective actions from start to finish until verified resolution is achieved.
• Clearly document findings and present recommendations and corrective action plans to team leads and leadership.
• Collaborate daily with various teams to resolve issues that cross team boundaries.
• Manage and own hand-offs between functions, ensuring tasks are properly routed, tracked, and closed.
• Proactively and professionally communicate status updates, blockers, and resolutions.
• Execute and confirm changes to account setup and configuration.
• Initiate and verify EDI/ERA enrollment and related setup procedures.
• Ensure that changes yield the intended downstream outcomes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation resource for the broader RCM organization.
• Author, refine, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials based on resolved issues.
• Continuously seek ways to eliminate manual processes, reduce recurring issues, and enhance efficiency.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients regarding escalated matters.
• Prepare and provide clear written and verbal updates to executive leadership.
• Handle a high volume of simultaneous tasks while meeting productivity and completion-rate targets without compromising accuracy.
• Over 5 years of billing experience.
• At least five (5) years in a fast-paced, high-volume medical billing/revenue cycle position.
• Proven ability to multitask effectively.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple concurrent priorities and escalations under time constraints without losing attention to detail.
• Expertise in detailed root cause analysis.
• A history of diagnosing and addressing the fundamental causes of billing issues at their source, rather than just alleviating symptoms.
• Strong capability for cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to work well and communicate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with multiple billing systems.
• Working knowledge of more than one billing/practice-management/RCM system, with a quick learning ability for new platforms.
• Professional communication skills suitable for client interactions.
• A polished appearance and presence, with the ability to communicate with clients efficiently, clearly, and with credibility.
• Proficiency in English.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined in documentation and follow-through.
• Experience communicating with executive leadership.
• Background in direct communication and interaction with executive leadership.
• Subject matter expert capabilities.
• Able to serve as an SME and trusted escalation resource for others.
• Quick learner.
• Ability to rapidly and independently grasp new systems, payer regulations, and processes.
• Flexible availability.

• Must maintain a stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 30 MBPS.
• Must be comfortable working during US business hours.
