Senior Revenue Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee revenue reporting, encompassing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance analyses against budget and forecasts.

• Collaborate with Product Owners to create and maintain annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

• Manage the entire monthly subscription billing process, including validation, processing, and reconciliation.

• Review contracts to extract revenue components necessary for accurate forecast calculations.

• Prepare and circulate revenue pacing updates to senior leadership.

• Analyze revenue performance, offering detailed variance explanations and actionable insights.

• Create monthly presentations for leadership review.

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and revenue reconciliations.

• Work alongside Product, Sales, and Finance teams to collect and validate data for reporting and billing purposes.

• Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and minimize manual tasks.

• Support the sales team and leadership with ad hoc analyses, including customer-level reporting.

• Contribute to audits, reconciliations, and various special projects as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related area.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

• In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles and general accounting standards.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis; experience with large datasets is preferred.

• Background in supporting or managing subscription-based or recurring revenue models.

• Proven track record of data analysis, trend identification, and clear communication of insights.

• Exceptional attention to detail, emphasizing accuracy and accountability.

• Ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at various levels.

• Self-motivated individual with strong ownership skills and the capability to handle multiple priorities.

• Demonstrated success in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements or automation.
