Senior Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Ensures adherence to relevant policies and reviews contracts to confirm that revenue is recorded in line with GAAP standards.

• Record and reconcile all entries related to patient and hospital revenue.

• Collaborate with the Billings Specialist to guarantee that all invoices are accurate, dispatched to clients in a timely manner, and in accordance with the facilities’ contracts.

• Assist the Revenue Accounting Manager with all job responsibilities, including recording journal entries and performing reconciliations.

• Support the Vice President of Revenue in all analyses and projects related to patient and hospital revenue.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Revenue Accounting Manager or the Vice President of Revenue.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with contracts and the healthcare revenue cycle is advantageous but not required.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and the capability to conduct accounting research to resolve accounting issues.

• Experience with Great Plains software is an added benefit.
