Senior Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure appropriate treatment of revenue, costs, and accounts receivable.

• Conduct ASC 606 analyses for emerging revenue streams.

• Assist in the monthly accounting close, analyze variances, and provide insightful financial reports.

• Grasp and convey relevant accounting principles to colleagues and stakeholders.

• Evaluate current processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

• Aid in the external audit process and implement enhancements for identified inefficiencies.

• Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of recent and pertinent accounting experience.

• Proficient in advanced MS Excel functions and applications.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Familiarity with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.

• A Master’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Recent experience in auditing is preferred.

• Background in a technology or high-growth company within a SOX-compliant environment is preferred.

• Experience with NetSuite is preferred.

• Knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, Hex, and/or Metabase is a bonus.
