Senior Retirement Service Consultant, Client Services – Retirement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Accountable for safeguarding, securing, and appropriately managing all confidential information held by Ascensus.

• Continuously deliver exceptional consultative client service while effectively communicating and collaborating with clients and partners.

• Exhibit thorough knowledge of retirement plans and the Ascensus business model.

• Provide coaching and mentorship to others in all facets of retirement planning and client relations.

• Efficiently track and follow up on assigned tasks.

• Offer clients and advisors clear and concise information regarding services, execution, and problem resolution.

• Build and sustain robust working relationships with dedicated clients and financial professionals.

• Engage in managing vendor relationships on behalf of clients and partners.

• Ensure client retention by anticipating needs and suggesting necessary changes or actions.

• Meet individual and team objectives for service levels, growth, and client retention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 5 years of direct client experience is required, with a preference for experience in the Retirement Services industry.

• Certification or progress towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.) in industry-related studies is preferred.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong presentation skills, business etiquette, client service acumen, and time management capabilities.

• Experience with financial services systems (e.g., recordkeeping, trust, trading) and familiarity with plan recordkeeping and trust reconciliation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with preferred knowledge of Access and PowerPoint.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• In-depth understanding of retirement plans, ERISA, DOL and IRS regulations, as well as plan documents (both individually designed and prototype).
