Senior Reservationist Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee reservation files from the point of confirmation until the guest's departure.

• Acquire and precisely document all confirmations from suppliers.

• Keep booking records up-to-date within reservation and CRM systems.

• Prepare travel documentation and comprehensive itineraries.

• Track booking deadlines, payment timelines, and cancellation policies.

• Efficiently process amendments, cancellations, and revisions to bookings.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers throughout Southern and East Africa.

• Follow up on pending confirmations and swiftly address supplier inquiries.

• Ensure that all bookings adhere to company quality standards and align with guest preferences.

• Coordinate logistics among multiple suppliers to guarantee seamless itineraries.

• Monitor deposits and final payments while assisting with the reconciliation of supplier invoices.

• Provide operational support prior to and during travel, including urgent itinerary changes as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in luxury travel reservations or tour operations.

• Strong understanding of Southern and East African destinations.

• Familiarity with reservation systems such as Safari Portal.

• Excellent administrative and organizational capabilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to manage multiple bookings concurrently while adhering to deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

• Professional, accountable, and solutions-oriented mindset.

• Experience collaborating with international luxury travel advisors is a plus.

• Understanding of foreign currency quotations is advantageous.

• Knowledge of airline reservations and ticketing is beneficial.

• Experience with CRM systems will be an advantage.
