This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will develop and lead innovative research agendas associated with our portfolios of work, addressing complex questions that will guide GiveWell's grantmaking choices.
• You will evaluate numerous potential questions we could address and focus on those that are of utmost significance.
• You will engage in external communication regarding your work and provide mentorship and guidance to other researchers on the team.
• You will define a research agenda that infuses rigor and creativity into the challenging questions faced by the GiveWell new areas team.
• An advanced degree with a quantitative focus (e.g., in epidemiology, public health, economics, or a related discipline).
• Significant professional experience in global health or a related field (broadly interpreted). This may include direct involvement in program design, monitoring, or evaluation; epidemiology; cost-effectiveness modeling of health interventions; or experience in program implementation or funding at a bilateral, multilateral, or NGO level. We are particularly interested in candidates who thrive as generalists: you can quickly familiarize yourself with new subjects and are comfortable with switching tasks.
