Senior Researcher, HFT, Market Making, Crypto

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create and refine crypto trading strategies.

• Detect signals within order book dynamics.

• Examine trade flow, fill behavior, and short-term price movements.

• Formulate hypotheses and validate them using actual historical data.

• Develop solutions and collaborate with the development team for production deployment.

• Assess feedback from the trading team.

• Enhance performance and PnL metrics.

• Conduct post-trade analysis.

• Regularly review trading logic.

• Manage trading strategies from initial hypothesis to live PnL.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of trading strategies that succeed in a live HFT environment.

• Experience overseeing the complete process from idea generation and analysis to validation, live PoC, and iteration.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate reasoning to diverse stakeholders.

• Capability to work effectively in a long-term remote setup or willingness to relocate.

• Career experience across various trading firms, including roles focused on research.

• Background in HFT or market making within crypto or traditional markets.

• Experience in proprietary trading firms or quantitative trading teams.

• Understanding of order book mechanics.

• Knowledge of execution, slippage, and adverse selection.

• Experience in generating short-term alpha.

• Familiarity with cross-exchange arbitrage.

• Strong data analysis skills in Python or a similar programming language.

• Ability to prepare and analyze extensive datasets.

• Methodical approach to backtesting, evaluation, and risk management.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and advanced .NET is advantageous.
