Senior Research Manager, Nutrition & Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Execute and implement research initiatives as part of ProVeg’s Global Programmes and impact areas, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

• Identify potential opportunities and research gaps that contribute to achieving programme and organizational strategy objectives.

• Collaborate closely with colleagues across various teams, countries, and disciplines to synchronize efforts and prevent silos.

• Produce clear, actionable insights regarding consumer behavior, needs, and market trends related to plant-based foods and plant-forward diets.

• Keep track of and analyze developments in the plant-based, nutrition, and health sectors, pinpointing emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Convert complex data into engaging narratives, recommendations, and visuals for cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.

• Create high-quality research outputs, including academic publications, flagship reports, policy briefs, blogs, and thought-leadership materials, positioning ProVeg as a credible authority in nutrition and health.

• Contribute to the collective organizational knowledge by documenting methods, tools, and insights that can be utilized by others across ProVeg.

• Assist the Communications Department with press inquiries and media releases, respond promptly to internal research requests, and prepare briefings or presentations for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) for public speaking engagements or external meetings.

• Manage individual projects from conceptualization to execution, defining schedules, scopes, budget estimates, and aiding in budget acquisition, project implementation plans, including risk management and project team oversight.

• Foster relationships with key strategic partners to help achieve our objectives.

• Represent ProVeg and deliver presentations and talks at specialized events and conferences, as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• You hold a Master’s degree in nutrition, public health, sustainable development, environmental sciences, consumer research, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience working within a federated network, global secretariat, or organization with semi-autonomous country offices.

• A pragmatic, solution-oriented, and supportive demeanor in all situations to advance ProVeg's vision and mission.

• You exhibit strong analytical and evidence-based thinking, adept at balancing ambition with methodological rigor.

• You possess experience with data analysis and research tools (e.g., R, Stata, SAS, SPSS) as well as expertise in survey design and mixed-methods research.

• You have practical experience in designing and conducting both qualitative and quantitative research.

• You can convey complex findings clearly through effective writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.

• You have project management experience and are comfortable managing timelines, priorities, and deliverables.

• Willingness to travel to conferences and relevant stakeholder meetings.

• You are fluent in both written and spoken English and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders in multicultural environments.
