This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Generate reports and analyses for the Administration and Finance sectors of the Department of Ophthalmology utilizing billing data and specialized reports.
• Prepare and assess clinical inquiries.
• Collaborate with departmental staff to clarify reporting objectives and data needs.
• Ensure that data adheres to HIPAA regulations and is presented in a clear format.
• Lead, develop, and implement methodologies for data reporting to foster continuous improvement.
• Conduct thorough analysis and produce reports from both internal and external data sources.
• Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated reports, dashboards, and data visualizations related to clinical and research initiatives.
• Work alongside faculty, researchers, administrators, managers, IT, and data management teams.
• Direct cross-functional projects focused on data analysis and reporting.
• Develop and oversee reporting systems across various data platforms.
• Provide timely, high-quality, reliable data for the department.
• Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, and statistical reporting to support strategic planning and operational decisions.
• Identify and communicate issues related to survey data.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with complex reporting and data analysis tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to handle multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to convert complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Capacity for high-level independent decision-making.
• Ability to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Familiarity with billing data, clinical inquiries, reporting, dashboards, data visualizations, forecasting, and statistical reporting.
