Senior Remote Sensing Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the post-processing of aerial data to produce final deliverables that cater to various markets and users.

• Ensure the precision and dependability of all outputs generated from LiDAR and imagery data.

• Resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Perform quality control assessments.

• Collaborate closely with Remote Sensing Project Leads and other stakeholders to facilitate project implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience or an Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., geomatics, surveying, remote sensing).

• A minimum of 3+ years in a senior technician position.

• ASPRS certifications are highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of LiDAR and remote sensing concepts along with data processing.

• Proficient in utilizing Remote Sensing software and tools, including TerraSolid, RiProcess, MicroStation, MetaShape, Photoshop, PLS-CADD, and TopoDOT.

• Comprehensive understanding of coordinate systems and projections.

• Practical experience in the power generation and delivery sector, as well as within DOT and renewables.

• Familiarity with scripting and light programming to aid in automation.

• Knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment to enhance project control understanding.

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with accuracy.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Capability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Openness to adapting to evolving technologies and industry trends.
