Senior Remote Sensing Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Remote Sensing Leadership and Project Leads to fulfill project requirements.

• Execute post-processing tasks in accordance with internal protocols and industry standards.

• Produce final deliverables tailored to project specifications across different markets for client presentation.

• Resolve technical challenges related to aerial datasets.

• Perform comprehensive quality control assessments to guarantee the accuracy and dependability of outputs from junior technicians.

• Keep informed about the latest advancements and best practices in the field of remote sensing.

• Support the creation and application of standard operating procedures for aerial deliverables.

• Work in conjunction with software vendors to troubleshoot issues and secure necessary support.

• Engage in training sessions and workshops to bolster technical expertise and skills.

• Aid in the testing and rollout of new software solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience or an Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., geomatics, surveying, remote sensing).

• A minimum of 3+ years in a senior technician position.

• ASPRS certifications are strongly preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of LiDAR and remote sensing concepts along with data processing.

• Proficient in utilizing Remote Sensing software and tools such as TerraSolid, RiProcess, MicroStation, MetaShape, Photoshop, PLS-CADD, and TopoDOT.

• Extensive knowledge of coordinate systems and projections.

• Industry experience in power generation and distribution, DOT, and renewable energy sectors.

• Familiarity with scripting and basic programming to facilitate automation.

• Understanding of surveying techniques and equipment for effective project control.

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and capacity to work with accuracy.

• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple tasks effectively.
