Senior Remote Sensing Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Accountable for processing aerial data into final deliverables that serve various markets and users.

• Ensuring the precision and dependability of all outputs generated from LiDAR and imagery data sourced from both manned and unmanned aircraft.

• Addressing technical challenges and performing quality control assessments.

• Collaborating closely with Remote Sensing Project Leads and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience or an Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., geomatics, surveying, remote sensing).

• At least 3+ years in a senior technician role.

• ASPRS certifications are highly preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of LiDAR and remote sensing principles along with data processing.

• Proficient in utilizing Remote Sensing software and tools, including TerraSolid, RiProcess, MicroStation, MetaShape, Photoshop, PLS-CADD, and TopoDOT.

• Extensive knowledge of coordinate systems and projections.

• Industry experience in power generation and delivery, DOT, and renewable energy sectors.

• Basic scripting and programming skills to facilitate automation.

• Familiarity with surveying techniques and equipment for project control comprehension.

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and capacity to work with high precision.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Capacity to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Openness to adapting to evolving technologies and industry trends.
