Senior Remote Sensing Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the post-processing of aerial data into final deliverables that support various markets and users.

• Ensure the precision and dependability of all outputs generated from LiDAR and imagery data obtained from both manned and unmanned aircraft.

• Diagnose technical issues and perform quality control assessments.

• Collaborate closely with Remote Sensing Project Leads and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.

• Aid in the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures for aerial deliverables.

• Work in partnership with software vendors to resolve issues and secure necessary support.

• Engage in training programs and workshops to improve technical knowledge and abilities.

• Assist with the testing and deployment of new software.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience or an Associate degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., geomatics, surveying, remote sensing).

• A minimum of 3+ years in a senior technician position.

• ASPRS certifications are highly preferred.

• Solid understanding of LiDAR and remote sensing concepts along with data processing.

• Expertise in utilizing Remote Sensing software and tools, including TerraSolid, RiProcess, MicroStation, MetaShape, Photoshop, PLS-CADD, and TopoDOT.

• Comprehensive knowledge of coordinate systems and projections.

• Industry experience in power generation and delivery, DOT, and renewable energy.

• Proficiency in scripting and light programming to facilitate automation.

• Acquainted with surveying techniques and equipment for project control comprehension.

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously and manage numerous tasks concurrently.

• Openness to adapting to evolving technologies and industry trends.
