This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design systems integration, modeling, and simulation for Power, Wind, and Electrification applications.
• Assess and recommend application-specific power generation architectures.
• Conduct studies and simulations to verify system response and performance.
• Create and maintain BlockSIM reliability models for intricate integrated power solutions, including hybrid systems, BESS, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Oversee equipment coordination modeling for on-site power generation assets.
• Convert customer availability, MTBF, and SLA expectations into electrical configurations and protective relaying requirements.
• Assist in meeting equipment LCOE and operational reliability standards.
• Transform customer reliability objectives into engineering design inputs for reference architectures.
• Execute reliability-centered simulations to mitigate integration risks and ensure alignment with industry standards.
• Establish onsite generation reports and compile information for customer meetings and final report submissions.
• Coordinate business unit efforts for customer projects and proposals.
• Direct cross-functional coordination studies and testing of requirements across the power system.
• Collaborate with Consulting Services, engineering, sales, and product development teams across GE Vernova.
• Analyze power generation system reliability metrics and EPC project integration studies to guide design and optimization choices.
• Create and implement standardized reference architectures for repeatable applications and customer projects.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering or business.
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in engineering, project or plant reliability, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in engineering or technical consulting, including at least 2 years leading teams in delivering high-value technical or strategic solutions.
• More than 5 years of experience in developing and delivering technical presentations, including at least 3 years of direct engagement with internal or external C-suite/executive leadership.
• At least 5 years managing complex engineering or policy initiatives, with a proven track record of delivering a minimum of 3 major projects on time and within budget constraints.
• Over 5 years analyzing or navigating government structures, global energy policy, and power market mechanics, with the ability to evaluate macroeconomic impacts of regulatory changes.
• More than 5 years of experience with "inside-the-fence" power generation technologies, particularly gas generators, BESS, STATCOMs, HV/LV electrical gear, and fuel cell technologies.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience conducting formal reliability studies, including FMECA, RCA, FTA, and RAM analysis.
• At least 3 years of direct experience utilizing BlockSim for reliability modeling.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, if applicable.
• An advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, or power systems engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with MAPS or MARS is preferred.
• Direct experience with prime-power or continuous-duty data center generation assets is desired.
• Strong understanding of electrical selectivity, protective relay coordination, and PLC/SCADA systems.
• General knowledge of technical regulatory standards and grid code compliance evaluation, testing, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Data Center Tier Classification standards and IEEE/ANSI electrical standards.
