Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Convert the finalized Enterprise-Scale Platform designs from the Architect into production-ready Infrastructure as Code.

• Create resilient cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and manage the cloud foundation for contemporary digital products.

• Enhance cloud environments and establish deployment automation.

• Collaborate closely with clients to identify and understand operational challenges.

• Transform business and operational requirements into effective, secure, and maintainable DevOps solutions.

• Implement monitoring and observability stacks.

• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and deployment issues in live environments.

• Configure and manage immutable Azure backups.

• Perform restore testing and assist in disaster recovery preparedness.

• Generate architecture diagrams, service configurations, code flows, and backup and recovery schedules.

• Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Azure and the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).

• Familiarity with Azure Entra External ID.

• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or equivalent.

• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of containerization through Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Capability to establish monitoring/observability stacks like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

• Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and scalable distributed systems.

• Proven experience diagnosing performance, reliability, and deployment issues in production settings.

• Practical experience with Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall (WAF), including limiting exposure to necessary ports and endpoints.

• Experience in designing Azure architectures that achieve a 99.99% uptime SLA, incorporating multi-region configurations, redundancy, and failover strategies.

• Expertise in building configuration-driven solutions such as feature flags, configuration services, and database-driven logic.

• Experience in configuring and maintaining daily immutable backups in Azure, including restore testing and disaster recovery preparations.

• Ability to create comprehensive technical documentation.

• Excellent command of spoken and written English.

• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles.

• Availability to work during a 3 to 7 pm overlap.

• Capability to work on your personal computer.

• Polish business entity capable of invoicing B2B, or willingness to establish one prior to commencement.
