This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Assist in the development and ongoing enhancement of the Corporate Regulatory Affairs’ regulatory intelligence processes, tools, technologies, and operating model.
• Monitor, collect, and evaluate regulatory and policy changes using risk-based criteria to assess their impact on business, implementation considerations, and necessary escalations.
• Assess, select, and optimize regulatory intelligence tools, digital solutions, and external information providers.
• Maintain oversight of key regulatory developments, implementation timelines, and emerging trends.
• Convert intricate regulatory and policy information into clear, actionable intelligence and facilitate its distribution through governance and communication channels.
• Track significant developments and manage regulatory intelligence dashboards, metrics, and trend analyses.
• Observe regulatory policy changes in priority markets.
• Organize briefing materials, impact assessments, consultation responses, and policy analyses.
• Gather and synthesize insights from regulatory agencies, industry associations, policy forums, conferences, and other external engagements.
• Assist in preparations for senior external interactions.
• Identify emerging regulatory risks, opportunities, and cross-cutting trends that may impact compliance, market access, business operations, or strategic priorities.
• Provide regulatory intelligence and analysis for enterprise risk discussions, strategic planning, and business reviews.
• Collaborate with Business Q&RA, Government Relations, and Corporate functions to enhance awareness, prioritization, and enterprise alignment.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of regulatory intelligence practices, capabilities, and knowledge sharing across the enterprise.
• Work under the guidance of the Senior Director, Corporate Regulatory Affairs.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 6 years of related experience.
• Experience in regulatory intelligence, regulatory affairs, regulatory policy, government affairs, public policy, or a related field within a global organization.
• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluating, and communicating regulatory developments and their potential business implications.
• Strong grasp of regulatory intelligence principles, methodologies, and information sources.
• A robust digital mindset, including experience with technology, AI-enabled tools, or data-driven approaches.
• Experience in analyzing complex regulatory, legislative, or policy developments and translating their implications into actionable business insights.
• Experience working across functions and engaging with stakeholders in a matrix environment.
• Excellent analytical skills and sound judgment in evaluating regulatory significance, business impact, and prioritization.
• Experience in preparing briefing materials, analyses, presentations, or written communications for management audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as life sciences, chemistry, biology, engineering, regulatory affairs, law, public policy, environmental science, or a related discipline.
• Preferred experience with industry associations, regulatory agencies, or policy forums.
• An advanced degree, regulatory certification, or relevant professional credential is preferred.
• Regional and international travel may be required.
