Senior Regional Inventory Control Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee inventory control readiness initiatives for the launch of new sites, expansions, and customer transfers.

• Formulate a comprehensive inventory control strategy, standards, and governance for new manufacturing operations.

• Create processes for warehouse and material flow, including receiving, storage, supermarkets, line-side replenishment, shipping, and inventory transactions.

• Determine inventory control resource needs, organizational structure, and staffing plans for each new site.

• Collaborate with IT to implement and validate ERP systems, warehouse management systems, RF devices, barcode labeling, and inventory transactions prior to production start-up.

• Develop strategies for cycle counts, processes for inventory accuracy, physical inventory plans, and standards for material traceability.

• Align inventory readiness with Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance, and Operations.

• Conduct site readiness assessments and identify operational risks ahead of production launch.

• Create standard work guidelines, procedures, KPIs, training programs, and governance routines for inventory control teams.

• Promote continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, material flow, and operational efficiency.

• Assist in customer audits and operational readiness reviews during New Product Introductions (NPI) and site transitions.

• Deliver executive updates on inventory readiness, launch status, key risks, mitigation strategies, and implementation milestones.

• Expect to travel approximately 75% to facilitate new site readiness.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, or Supply Chain within a complex manufacturing environment.

• More than 5 years of experience leading inventory control organizations and cross-functional teams.

• Experience in supporting greenfield manufacturing sites, NPIs, factory launches, or significant operational transfers.

• Extensive knowledge in warehouse operations, inventory control, material flow, and manufacturing logistics.

• Proficiency in implementing ERP systems, preferably SAP; WMS; barcode/RF technologies; and inventory transaction processes.

• Capability to create operational standards, governance models, and scalable inventory control processes.

• Strong comprehension of manufacturing readiness, production launches, and operational ramp-ups.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, IT, and Finance.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.

• Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Highly desired experience in launching new sites from the ground up.

• Experience in supporting electronics or high-volume manufacturing sectors.

• Experience leading inventory control during factory start-ups, customer transfers, or capacity expansions.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, warehouse optimization, automation, and digital supply chain solutions.

• Experience in designing scalable inventory control processes across various manufacturing locations.

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred.
