This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Oversee global sourcing and supplier management strategies for thermal infrastructure equipment that supports hyperscale AI factories and advanced data center projects.
• Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with suppliers in areas such as heat exchangers, dry coolers, pumping and hydronic systems, as well as modular and prefabricated thermal infrastructure.
• Identify, assess, and onboard new supplier partners to facilitate growth, capacity expansion, and diversification of the supply chain.
• Ensure sourcing execution aligns with long-term infrastructure technology roadmaps.
• Convert project pipeline forecasts into supplier capacity and sourcing strategies through integrated business planning.
• Lead supplier performance management with a focus on quality, delivery reliability, manufacturing readiness, technical capability, and scalability.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, strategic partnerships, and long-term supply contracts.
• Keep abreast of market dynamics, manufacturing lead times, raw material trends, and geopolitical risks.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction stakeholders to support equipment standardization and procurement specifications.
• Formulate mitigation strategies for supply chain challenges, capacity shortages, and scheduling risks.
• Carry out assessments of supplier factories and conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
• Deliver executive-level reports and recommendations regarding supply chain health, supplier risks, capacity planning, and sourcing strategies.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
• At least 10 years of experience in global business development, thermal equipment product development, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, procurement, or supplier management within mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, HVAC, thermal systems, industrial equipment, or related sectors.
• Proven experience in managing global supplier relationships and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for complex engineered equipment.
• In-depth understanding of thermal infrastructure systems that support data centers, industrial facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience with liquid cooling technologies and advanced thermal management systems for AI infrastructure environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships across cross-functional stakeholders in engineering, construction, supply chain, and external consulting organizations.
• Strong skills in commercial negotiation and contract management.
• Experience in supporting integrated business planning, long-range forecasting, and supplier capacity planning processes.
• Capability to analyze supply-demand dynamics, manufacturing constraints, and risks associated with infrastructure deployment.
• Excellent executive communication, analytical, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required to supplier facilities, project sites, and industry events.
