This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +3 more states.
• Lead and cultivate a high-performing team.
• Recruit, nurture, and retain exceptional talent: Identify and onboard outstanding Area Business Managers while actively investing in their growth to enhance performance.
• Inspire and encourage: Foster a positive, patient-centered culture by establishing a shared vision, exemplifying core values, and promoting accountability within the team.
• Offer coaching and constructive feedback: Conduct regular field visits to assess and coach Area Business Managers on customer engagement, territory management, and alignment with company values.
• Acknowledge and address performance: Deliver timely recognition and guidance to ensure alignment with organizational goals and values. Tackle personnel issues promptly to maintain team cohesion.
• Develop talent: Collaborate with team members to create personalized development plans that support their career advancement while aligning with business objectives.
• Drive business and operational excellence.
• Spearhead the formulation of strategic and tactical plans to meet and surpass regional sales goals.
• Employ business analytics to comprehend market dynamics, prioritize resources, and direct team activities to enhance performance.
• Set performance metrics and hold team members accountable for achieving objectives ethically and compliantly.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of local markets, customer needs, and emerging trends to refine strategy and execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field is required.
• At least 8 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
• Over 3 years of experience in rare disease or specialty sales (strongly preferred).
• More than 3 years in a sales leadership role (strongly preferred).
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences (required for Senior Regional Business Leader).
• Demonstrated success in leading and coaching high-performing teams.
• Ability to forge strong, trusting relationships across a matrixed organization and with external stakeholders.
• Proven capability to achieve and exceed business objectives.
