This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +23 more states.
• Navigate the Seas: Take charge of recruiting and employee selection efforts at Pirate Ship for all positions and levels.
• Chart a Course: Report directly to the Director of Pirate Experience and collaborate with Senior Leadership, including the Sea Suite (C-Suite), to comprehend their hiring objectives and formulate a strategy to achieve goals while delivering quality and timely results.
• Codify the Process: Oversee full-cycle recruiting by devising and implementing unique and effective sourcing strategies and techniques to attract professionals across various roles.
• Scoping: Continuously generate a robust pipeline of high-quality candidates by driving recruitment initiatives such as branding, events, sourcing, and referrals, along with exploring the interwebs, LinkedIn, and other channels to discover the most talented pirates.
• Keep it Shipshape: Stay alert for new recruitment trends and technologies to ensure our hiring process remains innovative and effective.
• Find the treasure: Identify, prescreen, and assess both passive and active candidates.
• Turn People to Pirates: Manage candidates throughout the process and ensure they have a positive experience.
• Crew Up: Foster strong relationships with team leaders and act as a talent partner before, during, and after the recruiting process.
• Bottle Your Messages: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Pirate Ship’s organization and the markets it serves.
• Gather Round the Grog: Collaborate with HR on organizational training and development, compensation, and compliance matters.
• Uncover hidden treasure: Maintain critical recruiting metrics and analyze recruiting trends to sustain a healthy talent pipeline and inform effective hiring decisions.
• Ride the seas of change: Be comfortable in a dynamic environment that is consistently evolving.
• Sail from your port o’ call: Work from home while regularly connecting with your crewmates through chat, voice, and video.

• A minimum of 5+ years of in-house corporate recruiting experience managing end-to-end recruiting within a high-tech or high-growth industry.
• Proven experience in building and scaling creative teams across design, copy, and brand disciplines.
• Demonstrated success in recruiting through a diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging perspective to support Pirate Ship’s mission to create a diverse and inclusive team.
• Practical experience with applicant tracking systems, particularly Greenhouse, including candidate pipeline management, interview coordination, reporting, and recruiting workflows.
• Ability to independently manage your own ship and juggle multiple projects concurrently in a rapidly changing environment.
