Senior React Native Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and implementation of innovative mobile product features.

• Enhance and maintain the current React Native codebase, focusing on performance and stability.

• Establish and refine mobile architecture, system design, and technical strategy.

• Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams to create scalable solutions.

• Promote standards for reliability, performance, and observability in mobile applications.

• Take ownership of production debugging, incident analysis, and root cause investigations.

• Lead enhancements in build systems, CI/CD processes, releases, testing, and app store submissions.

• Assist in recruitment and contribute to building a top-tier mobile engineering team.

• Advocate for performance improvements in rendering, navigation, latency, memory usage, offline functionality, caching, and real-time experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing mobile applications, with a strong emphasis on React Native.

• Experience in mentoring engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and incident management is highly advantageous.

• Profound understanding of mobile system design, component architecture, state management, navigation patterns, and performance trade-offs.

• Proven experience in optimizing UI performance, memory consumption, rendering efficiency, and startup times.

• Extensive knowledge of React internals and rendering behavior, including hooks, reconciliation, lifecycle, and render costs.

• Familiarity with native modules and bridging for iOS/Android.

• Experience in launching and maintaining applications on the App Store and Google Play.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, build automation, release automation, and OTA updates (EAS, CodePush, or equivalents).

• Experience in implementing monitoring and observability solutions (Sentry, OpenTelemetry, crash reporting, performance tracing).

• Proven track record of managing edge cases, distributed failure modes, degraded APIs, offline synchronization, and recovery user experiences.

• Demonstrated ability to guide the architecture or technical strategy for a mobile application or significant feature.

• Upholds high standards for clean code, SOLID principles, maintainability, and thorough documentation.
