Senior React Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for managing and reducing a substantial frontend backlog, achieving measurable enhancements within set deadlines.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize a React-based single-page application in a live production setting.

• Diagnose and enhance frontend performance, focusing on Lighthouse metrics and Core Web Vitals.

• Identify and resolve technical debt, enhancing code quality, stability, and maintainability.

• Construct and improve responsive, mobile-first user interfaces, ensuring uniformity across various devices and browsers.

• Integrate frontend components with GraphQL and REST APIs, ensuring effective data management and performance.

• Create and maintain CMS-driven components utilizing Contentful or comparable platforms.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and QA teams to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality features.

• Work effectively within a legacy codebase, implementing incremental enhancements while continuing to release features.

• Engage in Agile workflows utilizing tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Figma.

• Actively identify user experience challenges and propose enhancements aligned with business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in building and maintaining React-based SPAs in production settings.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Strong skills in HTML and CSS, emphasizing responsive and mobile-first development.

• Proven experience in integrating frontend applications with GraphQL and/or REST APIs.

• Practical experience in optimizing frontend performance, including Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals.

• Familiarity with backlog-heavy environments, with the capability to prioritize and deliver efficiently.

• Experience dealing with legacy systems or codebases laden with technical debt.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide pragmatic solutions under time constraints.

• Experience working within Agile teams and collaborating with product and design stakeholders.

• A product-oriented mindset that considers customer journeys and user experience.
