Senior Quality Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Creating and upholding testing frameworks for deterministic logic and AI-influenced, non-deterministic behaviors, integrating these validations seamlessly into CI, release pipelines, and review workflows.

• Collaborating proactively with engineering teams to identify risks prior to implementation, enhancing overall team quality capabilities, and advocating for testability as a fundamental design principle.

• Expanding our verification strategy beyond unit testing to include integration, system, stress, and comprehensive workflow testing throughout the entire stack.

• Ensuring reliable test environments equipped with robust instrumentation for swift diagnosis, enhancing observability and logging to expedite the process from failure to root cause identification.

• Developing tools, fixtures, and supporting libraries that create stable and reproducible test conditions, facilitating dependable validation of intricate scenarios without the need for ad hoc data generation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality engineering, test engineering, or a closely related field.

• Strong analytical instincts with a keen interest in understanding failures, determining root causes, and preventing their recurrence.

• Proficient in isolating external dependencies during integration testing by mocking third-party services through custom code or established tools.

• Practical experience in evaluating systems driven by LLMs, AI processing pipelines, or other probabilistic technologies.

• Competence in Python and modern testing frameworks within containerized environments.

• Proven success in designing automated test suites across various layers of a contemporary application stack.

• Experience working within fully containerized development and execution workflows.

• A data-driven mindset is inherent to your approach.
