Senior Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the testing strategy for designated features and product areas.

• Determine the appropriate validation methods for unit, component, integration, API, golden, E2E, accessibility, performance, security, manual, or exploratory layers.

• Engage in discovery and specification reviews prior to the commencement of development.

• Clarify assumptions while identifying edge cases, risks, and dependencies.

• Develop test cases during feature development that encompass user journeys, happy paths, edge cases, error handling, recovery, and regression.

• Empower engineers to assume their quality responsibilities through test suites, regression packs, environments, and mock data.

• Carry out the execution of prepared test cases and perform essential exploratory testing.

• Ensure measurable test coverage visibility for each feature.

• Enhance automation strategies and QA processes by minimizing flakiness, addressing coverage gaps, and reducing repetitive manual regression.

• Leverage AI/LLM tools for designing test cases, automation scripting, and exploratory testing.

• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Data teams, taking end-to-end ownership of the feature testing strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Senior-level experience in QA.

• Proven experience in owning quality for actual features or products and being accountable for results.

• A proactive mindset with a sense of ownership.

• A user- and product-centric way of thinking.

• A security-oriented mindset with comfort in shift-left quality practices.

• Practical experience with WebdriverIO, Patrol, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or Playwright.

• Proficient in writing backend tests, including API, unit, and database tests.

• Experience testing RESTful services using Postman or comparable tools.

• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Strong automation skills are preferred; candidates with manual testing backgrounds will be considered if they exhibit a proactive attitude, solid technical foundation, and eagerness to quickly learn automation.

• Experience in web3, fintech, or products involving real money is a plus.

• Familiarity with testing across API, integration, golden/screenshot, performance, or accessibility layers is a plus.

• Experience in security testing is a plus.
