This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.
• The Senior QA/QC Manager is responsible for overseeing and guiding project quality initiatives at a corporate level across all construction projects.
• This role entails leading the QA/QC processes and providing support to Project Teams, which include Project Managers, Superintendents, and Site Quality Managers.
• The Senior QA/QC Manager should be a versatile and adaptable team player with excellent communication and client service abilities.
• The primary objective of the Senior QA/QC Manager is to create and implement a dependable, repeatable, and maintainable Quality program that complies with various project design requirements.
• Develop and mentor Site Quality Managers.
• Review drawing and specification sets during project pursuits and for committed projects across multiple regions.
• Serve as a presenter in interviews and business development meetings.
• Provide on-site quality support.
• Develop scopes for and oversee contracts with third-party testing and commissioning agents.
• Train and mentor other MEP professionals.
• Lead the establishment of corporate-level programs.
• Assist in creating corporate-level best practices and initiatives.
• Engage in project-level leadership or collaboration with clients and their subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management within the construction industry, specifically in industrial or large-scale commercial projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects valued over $75 million.
• Experience with Federal projects is an advantage.
• Must be able to pass the OSHA 30 class.
• Attendance at the Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) course is required.
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must function effectively as part of a team.
• Dependability is crucial.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
• Strong time management and organizational skills are necessary.
• Capability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience with BIM360 is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Must maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Must be adaptable to various weather conditions and able to navigate and inspect all areas of a construction site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
• Effective communication skills are necessary to engage fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
• Must be able to compose, send, and respond to emails and written correspondence.
• Domestic travel is required (a valid Driver’s License is necessary).
• Exposure to typical hazards present on construction sites is expected.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
