Senior QA Automation Engineer – Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and execute automated testing strategies for APIs, web, and/or mobile applications.

• Build and sustain automated test suites that are integrated with CI/CD pipelines.

• Establish test scenarios based on both functional and technical specifications.

• Oversee production quality by investigating failures and identifying root causes.

• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to proactively prevent bugs rather than just identifying them.

• Advise the team on best practices for QA and test automation.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the quality assurance process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior QA Automation Engineer within agile teams.

• Proficient in at least one automation programming language (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python, or a similar language).

• Practical experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, RestAssured, etc.).

• Background in API testing (REST/GraphQL) and familiarity with tools like Postman and Insomnia.

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

• Understanding of QA best practices, including the testing pyramid, TDD/BDD, and both functional and non-functional testing.

• Experience working in high-scale and microservices environments.

• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6, Gatling).

• Previous involvement in DevOps/SRE environments and experience with observability practices.

• Active engagement in QA communities or participation in tech talks.
