Senior QA Automation Engineer – SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain automated tests along with support frameworks for both functional and performance testing.

• Engage in release testing activities and assist in enhancing the release validation process.

• Assess new product features, bug fixes, and enhancements in performance.

• Analyze intricate issues related to distributed transactions, replication, networking, storage, and cluster management.

• Design and execute automation solutions to minimize manual tasks and boost team efficiency.

• Contribute to the quality, reliability, and performance of MariaDB’s distributed database platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or software engineering.

• Proficient in Java programming and well-versed in the Java ecosystem.

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests and frameworks.

• Background in testing distributed or backend systems.

• Strong understanding of at least three of the following: multithreading, concurrency, networking, distributed systems concepts, transactions, and consistency models.

• Familiarity with NoSQL and/or distributed databases, particularly Apache Ignite or GridGain (preferred).

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).

• Knowledge of MariaDB or other relational databases (preferred).

• Experience with contemporary AI tools and their application to enhance engineering productivity (preferred).

• Proficient in performance testing, profiling, and troubleshooting complex systems (preferred).

• Must be able to work without visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
