Senior QA Automation Engineer – SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing and support frameworks for both functional and performance testing.

• Engage in release testing activities and assist in enhancing the release validation process.

• Validate new product features, bug fixes, and enhancements in performance.

• Investigate intricate issues related to distributed transactions, replication, networking, storage, and cluster management.

• Create and implement automation solutions aimed at minimizing manual efforts and boosting team productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation, or software engineering.

• Proficient in Java programming and well-versed in the Java ecosystem.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests and frameworks.

• Familiarity with testing distributed or backend systems.

• Strong understanding of at least three of the following areas: multithreading, concurrency, networking, distributed systems concepts, transactions, and consistency models.

• Experience with NoSQL and/or distributed databases, particularly with Apache Ignite or GridGain is preferred.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Familiarity with MariaDB or other relational databases is preferred.

• Experience with contemporary AI tools and their application to enhance engineering productivity is preferred.

• Background in performance testing, profiling, and troubleshooting of complex systems is preferred.

• Must be eligible to work in Georgia, Armenia, Cyprus, Serbia, or Bulgaria.
