Senior QA Automation Engineer – Playwright, TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create, design, and maintain scalable automated test suites for UI and APIs.

• Develop and improve automation frameworks utilizing Playwright.

• Evaluate functional requirements and pinpoint automation possibilities.

• Construct automated tests for regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.

• Implement API automation with Postman or comparable tools.

• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams during the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Diagnose test failures and enhance the reliability of automation.

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.

• Strive for continuous improvement in test coverage, framework maintainability, and execution efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient hands-on experience with Playwright for automation testing.

• Familiarity with Selenium and various automated testing frameworks.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript.

• Experience in designing and upholding automation frameworks.

• Comprehensive understanding of UI and API automation.

• Proficient in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.

• Solid grasp of REST APIs; experience with GraphQL is a plus.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and CI/CD processes.

• Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project management tools.

• Strong knowledge of Regression, Functional, End-to-End, and Smoke Testing.

• Experience in Test Planning and BDD/TDD methodologies.

• Background in Agile environments, including Scrum and Kanban.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Mindset focused on continuous improvement.

• Preferred: Experience with C#/.NET applications, SQL and database testing, Docker, Azure or AWS, JMeter or similar performance testing tools, Cypress/TestCafe/Puppeteer/WebdriverIO, Pack-flow, and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
