API Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute ongoing testing across security, API, and UI layers, including manual regression testing as required.

• Carry out functional test execution for RESTful services and APIs.

• Engage in Scrum ceremonies and work collaboratively with developers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and testers to address issues.

• Record test cases, test results, and validation data in JIRA.

• Assess test environments across various settings and report findings.

• Assist in planning test scenarios, preparing test data, and conducting database query activities.

• Provide estimates for new features or enhancements.

• Sustain and improve regression test cases to guarantee data integrity.

• Broaden and refresh regression test suites across multiple releases.

• Monitor and report additions to test cases for each sprint and release cycle.

• Adjust to shifting priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree along with 8+ years of experience in designing and developing tests and test requirements.

• Resume must detail institute names and graduation dates.

• Experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated test frameworks using Java or Scala for REST APIs.

• Practical experience in validating RESTful APIs and working with NoSQL databases.

• Experience with Gatling, which includes creating/updating simulations, adding test scripts to automated regression suites, and enhancing Gatling frameworks.

• Background in building, updating, and maintaining Scala/Selenium frameworks for UI and API integration.

• Experience with comprehensive Agile automated software testing.

• Familiarity with technical test execution, test management, code reviews, and defect monitoring, reporting, and documentation.

• Experience in maintaining regression test cases to ensure data integrity and expanding regression test beds across releases.

• Capability to document and report new test cases across sprints and release cycles.

• Ability to consistently meet or exceed set standards, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Must have established residency in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Federal Public Trust.

• Work visa sponsorship will not be available.

• Preferred: Experience with Jenkins/GitHub for data and test suite configuration.

• Preferred: Experience in AI test case creation.

• Preferred: Agile certification such as SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Agilist, CSM, or other agile certification.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.

• Capability to perform well in a high-pressure environment and under strict deadlines.
