Senior QA Automation Engineer – Enterprise Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop quality assurance processes from the ground up by setting testing standards for a product team that lacks dedicated QA resources.

• Integrate quality methodologies into sprint planning, backlog refinement, and the entire development lifecycle.

• Take ownership of comprehensive quality and testing for the Site Intelligence product, which includes customer-facing tools as well as internal support systems.

• Evaluate existing testing practices, choose appropriate tools and technologies, and create a scalable test automation strategy and framework.

• Design, construct, and sustain automated testing suites for backend microservices, asynchronous workflows, public APIs, internal APIs, and user interfaces.

• Validate data flows across crawlers, internal configuration tools, metadata engines, and reporting APIs to uncover edge cases prior to production deployments.

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to set up staging and release candidate environments while incorporating automated testing and quality controls into CI/CD pipelines.

• Work alongside product managers, engineers, tech leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure testing aligns with product objectives and engineering priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven track record of establishing QA processes and test strategies from inception within a dynamic engineering team.

• Proficient hands-on coding abilities for test automation, particularly in Python.

• Strong background in manual and exploratory testing methodologies.

• Experience with testing both public and internal APIs, backend microservices, distributed systems, and data pipelines.

• Practical expertise in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with containerized environments, such as Docker.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is an advantage.

• Understanding of web technologies, web crawlers, or HTML structure is beneficial.

• SQL proficiency for data validation and verification is a plus.
