Senior QA Automation Engineer – Automation DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and regression suites utilizing Cypress, Playwright, and other related automation technologies.

• Develop test strategies, plans, and both manual and automated test cases, along with test data to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, automate test environments, and expedite release readiness.

• Utilize Claude, OpenAI Codex, and OpenAI APIs to create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts, reusable assets, and QA workflows.

• Leverage AI and data-driven analysis to pinpoint flaky tests, diagnose CI/CD failures, automate root cause analysis, and optimize pipeline performance.

• Monitor automated builds, regression suites, and deployment pipelines to identify potential risks and proactively address quality issues.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to grasp requirements, evaluate risks, and ensure software quality throughout the development process.

• Review automation code, mentor QA engineers, and enhance testing frameworks, tools, and Quality Engineering practices.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives through automation, AI, and quality metrics to boost engineering efficiency and software quality.

• Assess and adopt new automation technologies, AI capabilities, and engineering tools to enhance testing effectiveness and speed of delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound expertise in designing and constructing scalable, reusable QA automation frameworks using Cypress and Playwright, accommodating both web and mobile applications.

• Demonstrated experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated build processes, and test environment management in Agile development settings.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools such as Claude, OpenAI Codex, and OpenAI APIs to improve test automation, engineering productivity, and software quality.

• Strong background in automation strategy, regression testing, integration testing, test data management, and scalable quality engineering practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify risks, enhance engineering processes, and validate solutions using quality and performance metrics.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing automation code, fostering continuous improvement, and communicating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
