This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop and execute testing strategies, including agentic AI, for the automated validation of quality metrics and system gates.
• Choose appropriate testing strategies for various scenarios and processes.
• Offer insights on functional and data-related risks.
• Ensure that system components prioritize security measures.
• Uphold engineering standards in collaboration with product owners, architects, and stakeholders.
• Break down new product capabilities into functional modifications for verification.
• Create mock services to reduce dependencies on other teams.
• Provide entry and exit points for automated services utilized by engineers for quality validation.
• Develop solutions employing Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.
• Engage in and potentially lead Agile ceremonies.
• Formulate processes for agentic-centered development.
• Lead and engage in peer reviews of design and code artifacts.
• Assist in resolving production issues.
• Promote development standards and security policies.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
• Cultivate skills for working in a poly-skilled Agile team.
• Contribute to the design of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
• Comprehend customer business processes and operational workflows.
• Assess feature requests and provide level-of-effort estimates.
• Collaborate on planning with Architects and Engineers.
• Analyze and conduct testing to identify effective system approaches.
• Benchmark existing methodologies.
• Over 7 years of experience in software systems, testing, quality assurance, and scripting/development.
• Hands-on experience with quality tools such as Cucumber, Jest, and Postman.
• Knowledge of test doubles including stubs, fakes, shims, and mocks.
• Basic understanding of performance testing and its operational mechanics.
• Experience in utilizing AI for development and testing purposes.
• Proficient in testing code and scripting within Amazon Web Services environments, including Lambda, Step Functions, S3, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure, and role-based access controls.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Ability to propose new ideas and implement enhanced systems and processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with analytical capabilities.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel 3–5 times per year to the New York City or Reston, Virginia office.
