Senior QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing of web products.

• Perform testing on APIs, integrations, and microservice interactions.

• Develop and uphold test cases, checklists, and regression suites.

• Write and sustain automated tests utilizing Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Integrate automated checks within the CI/CD pipeline.

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to ensure implementation quality.

• Test scraping processes, data pipelines, and distributed services in live settings.

• Evaluate retries, rate limits, partial failures, degradation of external sources, and recovery processes.

• Conduct load and performance testing of essential services.

• Contribute to automated quality gates and quality metrics.

• Utilize AI tools for test generation, log analysis, edge-case discovery, and regression automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing involving complex web and SaaS products.

• Experience in test automation with Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Comprehensive understanding of API testing, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Docker.

• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, or similar.

• Background in performance testing.

• Comfortable working with logs, metrics, and production incidents.

• Nice to Have

• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, TLS, proxy networks, caching, queues, retries, and rate limiting.

• Experience in testing scraping, data platform, or high-load API products.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical experience leveraging AI in test automation.

• Experience with SLI/SLO.

• Experience in testing AI functionality, evaluation pipelines, or golden datasets.
