This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Engage in the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts utilizing Selenium WebDriver.
β’ Collaborate with team members to provide technical assistance.
β’ Work alongside cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and guarantee test coverage.
β’ Create and implement detailed test plans and strategies.
β’ Execute automated test scripts and assess test results to detect defects and ensure software quality.
β’ Continuously enhance and optimize test automation frameworks and procedures.
β’ Design and conduct performance tests to uncover bottlenecks and confirm applications meet performance standards and user experience expectations.
β’ Mentor and support junior test automation engineers.
β’ Document test cases, results, and defects comprehensively.
β’ Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation.
β’ Advocate for AI Adoption & Co-Pilot Mastery β Act as an internal champion and proficient user of TELUS FueliX and other AI co-pilot tools, continually deepening expertise.
β’ Assist in the Development of New AI Co-Pilots β Participate in ideation, design, and development of new AI co-pilots as business needs evolve.
β’ Remain Informed on AI Trends & Innovations β Track developments in the generative AI domain and provide relevant insights to guide strategy and tool decisions.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
β’ 3-4 years of demonstrated experience as a Test Automation Engineer or in a similar capacity.
β’ Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and associated tools.
β’ Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
β’ Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
β’ Proficient in scripting/programming with hands-on experience using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
β’ Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
β’ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
β’ Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
β’ Technical Background β Solid foundational technical skills (e.g., software development) to facilitate a future transition into a full-time AI/co-pilot role.
β’ AI Tool Proficiency β Practical experience with AI productivity tools, co-pilots, or generative AI platforms (e.g., FueliX, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
β’ Advanced knowledge of English is essential as you will frequently interact in English with internal stakeholders (colleagues, partners, stakeholders, etc.); additionally, you will work with IT tools whose interfaces are only available in English, which is a primary responsibility of this position given its national scope.
