Senior QA Automation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage in the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts utilizing Selenium WebDriver.

• Collaborate with team members to provide technical assistance.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and guarantee test coverage.

• Create and implement detailed test plans and strategies.

• Execute automated test scripts and assess test results to detect defects and ensure software quality.

• Continuously enhance and optimize test automation frameworks and procedures.

• Design and conduct performance tests to uncover bottlenecks and confirm applications meet performance standards and user experience expectations.

• Mentor and support junior test automation engineers.

• Document test cases, results, and defects comprehensively.

• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation.

• Advocate for AI Adoption & Co-Pilot Mastery — Act as an internal champion and proficient user of TELUS FueliX and other AI co-pilot tools, continually deepening expertise.

• Assist in the Development of New AI Co-Pilots — Participate in ideation, design, and development of new AI co-pilots as business needs evolve.

• Remain Informed on AI Trends & Innovations — Track developments in the generative AI domain and provide relevant insights to guide strategy and tool decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3-4 years of demonstrated experience as a Test Automation Engineer or in a similar capacity.

• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and associated tools.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

• Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).

• Proficient in scripting/programming with hands-on experience using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

• Technical Background — Solid foundational technical skills (e.g., software development) to facilitate a future transition into a full-time AI/co-pilot role.

• AI Tool Proficiency — Practical experience with AI productivity tools, co-pilots, or generative AI platforms (e.g., FueliX, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
