Senior Python Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement new backend functionalities in Python within a microservices framework.

• Create and enhance AWS Lambda functions in Python, along with integration and orchestration processes.

• Design and implement REST APIs for both web and mobile applications.

• Integrate various AWS services, including DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis, Cognito, S3, and CloudWatch.

• Establish and manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation.

• Oversee system monitoring, log analysis, and optimize microservices using Datadog and CloudWatch.

• Diagnose production issues, perform debugging, and refactor existing code.

• Collaborate effectively with frontend teams, QA specialists, architects, and product owners.

• Engage in Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, refinement sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in backend development with Python.

• Familiarity with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.

• Understanding of queue systems like SQS.

• Knowledge of JWT/OAuth protocols.

• Capability to develop automated tests using PyTest.

• Proficient with Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, and GitHub Actions.

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Ability to collaborate within an international team environment.

• English language proficiency at a B2 level or above.

• Nice to have: Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

• Nice to have: Familiarity with React/Angular for effective collaboration with frontend teams.

• Nice to have: Background in IoT, HVAC, or embedded projects.

• Nice to have: Experience with Datadog (APM, RUM).

• Nice to have: Understanding of event-driven architecture.

• Nice to have: Experience integrating with legacy systems.
