Senior Python Software Engineer – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• Develop client code that prioritizes efficiency while ensuring it is performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the utmost quality.

• Guarantee code security through Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and lead the remediation process by triaging, prioritizing, remediating, and verifying issues.

• Deliver precise status tracking, reporting, and estimation using project methodologies and tools.

• Collect requirements, confirm understanding among team members, and create and maintain relevant documentation.

• Design and implement scalable AI and agentic workflows utilizing LLMs, with an emphasis on reliability and observability.

• Conduct activities within the existing methodology and maintain the highest quality standards.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leadership to convert complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Recognize and address technical debt to enhance system stability, performance, and developer efficiency.

• Assume responsibility for projects from the technical design phase through to successful launch.

• Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant professional experience in software engineering, particularly in Python and distributed systems.

• Demonstrated capability to manage technical features from design to production deployment with minimal oversight.

• Profound understanding of system design and architecture, with the ability to tackle ambiguous technical challenges.

• Proficiency in Git source control tools (GitHub, GitLab, or others).

• Expertise in Python package management (UV, Conda, or others).

• Experience with unit testing frameworks (Pytest).

• Design and implement scalable AI and agentic workflows using LLMs, focusing on reliability and observability.

• Familiarity with managing Docker containers and orchestration using Kubernetes and AKS.

• Intermediate design proficiency following UML / C4 / ArchiMate standards.

• Experience in engineering software systems of medium to large scope and complexity.

• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.

• Proficiency with relational databases.

• Experience in developing frontend and backend applications at scale.

• Proficient in the English language.
