Senior Python Engineer, Temporary Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold backend services and REST APIs for application modules and resource-status functionalities.

• Create and sustain CSV and PDF data export features.

• Integrate backend services with the platform’s current authentication and role-based access model (SSO/RBAC).

• Establish dependable data access and integrations across relational databases and data warehouse systems.

• Design and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.

• Assist in defect resolution, system hardening, and acceptance testing phases.

• Work closely with application and technical leads to ensure alignment with API design standards and the overall platform architecture.

• Engage in code reviews and adhere to established development and delivery methodologies.

• Contribute to technical documentation and ticket-based delivery processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 6 years of professional backend development experience with Python.

• Significant hands-on experience in building and deploying backend services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing REST APIs.

• Familiarity with relational databases and data warehouse access patterns, including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, or similar technologies.

• Practical experience with automated testing, encompassing unit and integration testing.

• Experience in integrating backend services with existing authentication and authorization frameworks, such as SSO and RBAC.

• Background in structured engineering environments that involve documented designs, code reviews, and ticket-based delivery.

• Proficient in Git and collaborative software development practices.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or comparable tools in daily development activities.

• Strong communication skills in English.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Availability for at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours.
