Senior Python Engineer – AWS, Client-Facing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Create, construct, and sustain scalable RESTful APIs

• Develop backend services leveraging Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django, or similar technologies)

• Deploy, manage, and monitor services hosted on AWS

• Design and interact with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (DynamoDB)

• Collaborate directly with consulting clients to grasp technical requirements, clarify use cases, and facilitate implementation

• Convert client requirements into technical designs and production-ready solutions

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to modern engineering best practices

• Work asynchronously with internal teams in a remote setting

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to technical design decisions

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer (or equivalent hands-on project experience)

• Extensive experience in building and consuming REST APIs

• Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc.)

• Experience in deploying and operating production services on AWS

• Solid understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases

• Familiarity with Git-based workflows (PRs, code reviews, CI/CD)

• Excellent English communication skills

• Ability to convey information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and clients

• Capacity to work independently, manage time efficiently, and excel in a fully remote environment

• Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing engineering role

• Experience in transforming ambiguous requirements into technical solutions

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code or CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with distributed or data-intensive systems
