Senior Proposal Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

📋 Description

• Act as the strategic leader and compliance expert for public-sector proposal initiatives.

• Manage the complete proposal lifecycle for RFx submissions related to state and local government.

• Work in conjunction with Sales leadership to establish winning themes, unique differentiators, and positioning strategies.

• Take ownership of the compliance matrix for each pursuit and monitor all essential requirements.

• Create initial drafts of the technical and management approach sections utilizing input from SC/SME.

• Organize and lead formal review cycles suited to the size and timeline of each pursuit.

• Oversee the final formatting, proofreading, appendix compilation, and preparation of submission packages.

• Record proposals in tracking systems with key metadata and archive completed materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline.

• 6–8+ years of experience in managing public-sector proposals, preferably for state and local government.

• Proven track record in leading complex, compliance-intensive RFP responses.

• Experience in managing multi-volume or multi-million-dollar pursuits is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration software tools.

• Experience with Responsive or similar proposal management systems.

• Ability to navigate government procurement portals effectively.
